Diamond Supply and Rob Dyrdek Team Up to Open Up Diamond Supply Co. Skate Park

It’s always the greatest thing to hear of people with power giving back to the people who helped them created the platform and aura of success that they are in. Figures that give back to their fanatics deserve the highest of praises, and even more so when they invest in the community. Skateboarding legend Rob Dyrdek, along with founder of Diamond Supply Co., Nicky Diamond, invested in the construction of the Diamond Supply Co. Public Skate Park in the Boyle Heights section of Los Angeles. The skate park opened its doors to the public last week, and its initiation came through the efforts of the Rob Dyrdek Street League Skateboarding Foundation.
In yet another great display of collaboration, Dyrdek teamed up with Nicky Diamond, also a fellow professional skateboarder and well-known entrepreneur through his clothing line. Both collaborated with The California Endowment, a group that advocates for health equality, to fund the construction of the skate park. The first half of $320,000 was privately funded by Dyrdek’s foundation, through a grant from the Endowment, while the second half was donated by Diamond himself.
This is a more than commendable attempt to keep the culture of skateboarding by both of these men. Regardless of the immense success that both Nicky Diamond and Rob Dyrdek have found, this is proof that they are ready to give back to their loyal fan base at any moment. Moreover, actions like this inspire young aspirants to always keep their roots and culture in mind throughout the journey to success.
